Brief History of the department

 

             In 1992 the department of Physics started the B. Sc. Computer Science course.

             In 2010 BCA, DCA and PGDCA courses were started by the same department. A   

             separate Computer department came into existence in the year 2012, which had

             B. Sc. Computer Science, BCA, DCA and PGDCA into its supervision.

Vision: To make the computer science students competent in the environment of   

              frequently changing technologies by providing, not only subject knowledge but also

              developing morals to build a better nation.

 

Mission:

  • To develop professional and problem solving skills in students.
  • To create an atmosphere in which the students learn working as a team.

  1. Distribution of electronic notes after presentation that increase the productive time during lecture.

 

  1. LCD based learning during practicals.

 

  1. Encourage the students for doing skill-based practical/projects, which increase chances for getting jobs.

 

  1. Encouraging the students to form groups for project developments.

 

  1. Encouraging students to develop web apps/websites by arranging competitions.

 

  1. Encouraging graduation students for doing online certification courses.
